I will not post any spoilers. Also, I won't be able to put up my first mangas on this page because there are no pictures of them because mangas are printed differently now from what they used to be like. This will mostly be shojo mangas, also im only putting down mangas that I own!
I have only been a vampire knight fan since June 08! Vampire Knight is a Shojo Manga and it is currently one my favorite manga. It is about a school (Cross academy) with a day class and night class, with a twist the night class are all vampires. It's mostly about Cross Yuuki a 15 year old girl in the day class who is on the discilplinary committee with Kiryuu Zero. The manga starts with 5 year old Yuuki (who has no memories) in a snowy field alone, a vampire appears ,Probably a Level E, (a vampire who was once a human) the vampire tries to bite Yuuki and Kuran Kaname, A pureblood vampire (Pureblood is the highest rank vampire) , appears and saves her. Then the manga skips forward 10 years and the plot starts. Well actually the main plot starts after chapter 24 when Yuuki starts to try and remember what happened before she was out in the snowy field. Even though the main plot starts late into the manga there are very important sub plots that happen to keep the story intresting. I highly reccommend buying the vampire knight manga!
WARINING! Keep reading the Hioh Shizuka ark if you read vampire knight, no matter how bored you get (You might not like this ark if you hate zero like me) . Trust me it gets a lot better around chapter 25.
Yes another vampire manga! This time chibi vampire. I started watching the chibi vampire anime (Karin) after watching season one of vampire knight for the 50th odd time. I got the mangas from ebay for my 13th birthday from my dad. My chibi vampire 1 has a printing error on the cover but I can still read the manga though so its okay! Chibi vampire is about a teenage vampire called Maaka Karin, but she isn't your average vampire. She doesn't bite people to get blood, she is a blood making vampire and when she bite people she gives them blood. If she release her blood each month she has a giant nose bleed. And not just a normal nose bleed, blood explodes out her nose covering everything. The vampires in chibi vampire have blood preferences (Karins is Misfortune) and they react if they see someone with their blood preference. So when Usui Kenta, Karin starts reacting to him so she decides she is going to try and make him be happier. And so goes on the plot.
To start with, Arigatou Roo for getting me into this series! Full moon is a cute and sad manga about a 12 year old girl called Mitsuki who wants to be a singer. Mitsuki made a promise to a boy called Eichi (they boy she loves who moved to america) that she would become a singer and he would be an astronaut. Only Mistuki has a problem, she has a throat cancer so she can't become a singer and her grandma won't let her. Two shinigami called Takuto and Meroko appear and tell her she has one year to live. So Mitsuki runs away to go to a singing audition, Takuto makes her into a 16 year old and when she's 16 her throat cancer is gone so she can sing clearly. Mitsuki gets picked in the audition and becomes a singer called full moon.
Tokyo Mew Mew was my 3rd manga. It is a super hero manga (sadly the anime got dubbed my 4kids and it is still aired in the UK so lots of kids will see the manga and go MUMMY ITS ZOEY! SHES CALLED ICHIGO DAMMIT!) TOKYO MEW MEW is about a girl called Ichigo who has being mixed with wild cat genes. And know she can turn into a Mew mew and save the world from aliens. With the other mew mews, Mew Mint, Mew Lettuce, Mew Pudding (MY FAVE NA NO DA!) and mew zakuro. (Also Mew Ringo in the game and Mew Berry in Tokyo mew mew A la mode). There isn't much to say about this manga because it is basically another magical girls manga. If you like sailor moon you will love tokyo mew mew!
Kamichama Karin is a cute manga I found when I was watching the chibi vampire anime. I reccommend not to watch the anime unless you are willing to listen to Himeka talking super slowly for 30 mins. The manga is Koge dono's first manga (Yes she did draw Pita Ten that is why the characters look like Pita Ten characters). Also Before I say anything else about this manga, be warned koge dono has weird plots and for some reason ALL the main characters are orphans. Kamichama Karin starts with Hanazono Karin's Cat shii dieing and a young (apparently good looking) boy called Kujyou Kazune appears and calls her a wimp and says that girls are dumb. She then Punches him in the face for skitting her cat and being sexist. A bit later Karin meets Himeka (A apparently pretty girl but after watching the anime she annoys the crap out of me) and Kazune who is apparently Kujyou Himekas cusion appears. And once again Karin punches him and he notices Karins ring, which is actually the ring of the godess Athena. And the manga is mostly about Karin and Kazune fighting Karasuma Kirio with their god/goddess rings. Trying to save their Himekas (There is two Himekas and when one is healthy the other one is sick so they are fighting because they want their himekas to live) Also one thing I must ad is Karins random battle callout where she just shouts "I AM GOD!" That will probably make you piss yourself laughing.
Fruits Basket (Furuba) has been one of my fave mangas/animes for more than 3 years now. And if you have watched the anime dub as much as me (My fave voice actress does Tohrus Voice, Laura Bailey) you can imagine the dub voices saying everything. It is about a girl called Honda Tohru who is living in a tent because her mum died in a car accident and her dad died while she was a child. She was living with her grandad but he is getting his house renovated and she doesn't want to burden her friends by asking to stay at their house. On her way to school she see's a house so she goes and looks, she sees some rock things painted as the animals from the chinese zodiac. Sohma Shigure sees her admiring them and starts talking to her about them. Tohru is sad because there wasn't a cat one because when she was a child her mum used to tell her a story of the chinese zodiac where the rat told the cat that the banquet was the next day so the cat missed it and wasn't included in the zodiac. Sohma Yuki (The most popular boy in Tohru's school) hits Shigure on the head with his bag (with two dictionaries in) and Tohru is shocked. On the way home from school Yuki asks Tohru what she was talking about and Tohru says about the Zodiac story and Yuki says that cats are idiots. A little bit later (Yuki still doesn't know that Tohru lives in a tent) Tohru is going to have a wash in the stream, and Yuki and Shigure see the tent and they go to see why its there because Shigure owns the land its on. Tohru gets invited into Shigure's house, during the time shes there her tent gets ruined in a land slide and shigure tells tohru that she can live with them if she be's the cleaner. Then Sohma Kyo comes flying through the celing and Tohru slips on a plank of wood and hugs him and he turns into a cat. She then turns round and falls into Shigure and Yuki and they turn into a dog and a cat. Tohru finds out that some of the Sohma family have a curse on them and when they get hugged by someone from the opposite sex they transform into a zodiac animal and the cat. The rest of fruits basket it about Tohru meeting the other zodiac members. Fruits Basket is probably the seccond funniest manga I own (Azumanga is the funniest)
Ouran high school host club is about Fujioka Haruhi a poor GIRL in a rich kids school on a scholarship. Haruhi's mum is dead and her dad works in a gay bar. Haruhi is looking for a private place to read and she goes into the third music room and sees the host club. Since Haruhi is poor she can't afford the school uniform so she just wears an old jumper and pants the Host club automatically think that she's a boy because of what she is wearing and her bad haircut (she cut it herself because a local child put gum in her hair) the host club also think that she is gay. Haruhi trying to get away haruhi breaks a ¥8,000,000 vase. The host club decide that Haruhi will work of her debt as the host clubs 'dog'. The head of the host club Suou Tamaki promotes Haruhi into a host with out knowing she is a girl. Once the hosts find out the haruhi is a girl she still pretends to be a boy and works as a host.
